Speaker's Biography

Risa Lavizzo-Mourey
President and CEO, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

Risa Lavizzo-Mourey is president and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the nation's largest philanthropy devoted exclusively to improving health and health care for all Americans. She joined RWJF in 2001 as senior vice president and director of the health-care group. Previously, at the University of Pennsylvania, she was the Sylvan Eisman professor of medicine and health-care systems and director of Pennsylvania's Institute on Aging. Lavizzo-Mourey holds an M.D. from Harvard Medical School and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and trained in geriatrics at the University of Pennsylvania.
